Gina recalls family gatherings at her parents home for get to-gethers as she was growing up. Now as a young woman with a family of her own, she is fortunate enough to realize the importance of family and dear friends. "My mother was always preparing food for our family. Aunts, Uncles, cousins and dear friends were always gathered around our table and my mother prepared the most delicious meals. She taught me that good food was never wasted. My husband and I invite company every chance we get and value our time with our friends and family. Like my Mom, I take pride in the foods I serve."

In 2003 Gina began preparing dessert for a dinner party in her home. She wanted a gourmet ending that was suitable for the adults as well as the children. She began to dip pretzels in chocolate and roll them in her family's favorite candy. "I remember how much fun I was having dipping those pretzels. "

Shortly after Gina opened a small gourmet factory and began to market her new candy creations. Today Gia Michaels Confections manufactures Indulge Gourmet candy pretzels and is sold in Department stores, upscale supermarkets, gourmet markets and card and gift stores across the country. Top of the line, only the best ingredients are used in her factory and each and every candy pretzel is dipped by hand. "I knew consumers would appreciate good food. Gourmet food. The best on the market. This is what I offered buyers" Gina is in constant control of production. You can find her on the chocolate dipping production line herself! "I love what I do. I found my passion" .

Besides running a new and fast growing business, Gina is a full time mom. Arriving at her factory when most people is sleeping she engages in the challenging roll of entrepreneur and Mommy. Home by the time her children are home from school she then prepares for soccer, dance and of course karate. " I focus on what is important in my life and nothing more, I had a desire to market my candy pretzels and still wanted to be a hands on mother". With a busy lifestyle Gina finds herself amazed at how far passion and hard work can get you. "A lot of determination, the ability to stay focused, drive, ambition and prayer have taken me and my company a long way."
